Bottom Seal Replacement in Gilbert

What we found
This Gilbert homeowner called us to have the bottom seal on their garage door replaced. The old seal had cracked and started to deteriorate, and the before photo shows it along the bottom edge of the door. Once a seal gets to that point, the door no longer closes tight against the floor, and whatever is on the driveway has a way in.
What we did
The type of seal this door came with has been discontinued, so we couldn't clip in a like-for-like replacement. Not to worry. We replaced the door's bottom retainer with an aluminum universal one, which takes a seal that is still made, and installed the new seal in it. Swapping the retainer takes a little more work than a plain seal change, but it means the door can take a standard seal from here on. The job took roughly 45 minutes.
How it turned out
The door now seals against the ground properly, which keeps pests, dust, and debris from getting in underneath it. It took one visit and under an hour.
