24/7 emergency garage door repair
Garage door emergencies don't wait for business hours. Whether it's midnight on a Sunday or 6 a.m. before work, if your door is stuck, broken, or creating a security risk, we're here. Brenner Garage Door provides 24/7 emergency repair service across Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Tempe, Queen Creek, Apache Junction, San Tan Valley, and the surrounding Valley.
Common emergency situations
- Door won't close. Your garage is wide open and you can't secure it. This is a security risk, especially overnight. We'll get your door closed and functioning.
- Broken spring. You heard the snap, and now the door is stuck or barely moves. Springs are under extreme tension and should never be handled without professional tools and training.
- Car trapped inside. The door won't open and you need to get to work, pick up the kids, or handle an urgent errand. We prioritize calls where vehicles are trapped.
- Door fell off the tracks. The door is hanging at an angle or has completely derailed. It's not safe to be near, and it's not safe to try to force it. We'll get it back on track safely.
- Door fell or slammed shut. A cable or spring failure caused the door to drop suddenly. This is a safety emergency. Don't try to lift it manually.
- Storm or impact damage. Monsoon winds, a vehicle impact, or falling debris damaged the door and it's no longer functional or secure.
What to expect
When you call our emergency line, you'll talk to a real person, not a voicemail. We'll ask a few quick questions about what happened, confirm your location, and dispatch a technician as quickly as possible. Our goal is to be at your door within an hour for most Valley locations. When we arrive, we'll assess the situation, explain what's needed, give you a quote, and get to work with your approval.
While you wait
- Don't force the door. If it's stuck, leave it. Forcing it can make the situation worse or cause injury.
- Disconnect the opener. Pull the red emergency release cord hanging from the opener rail. This disconnects the door from the opener so it can be operated manually (if safe to do so).
- Secure the area. If the door is open and won't close, move valuables away from the opening and keep kids and pets clear of the door.
- Don't touch broken springs or cables. These components are under extreme tension and can cause serious injury if handled improperly.
Frequently asked questions
Is there an extra charge for emergency or after-hours service?
Emergency and after-hours calls may include a service call fee that differs from standard business-hours rates. We'll be upfront about any additional costs before we dispatch a technician, so there are no surprises.
How fast can you get to me?
For most Valley locations, we aim to arrive within an hour of your call. Response times can vary depending on the time of day and current call volume, but we prioritize emergencies and move as quickly as we can.
What if I just need to get my car out?
If your car is trapped and the door is stuck, call us. In many cases, we can walk you through safely using the emergency release to open the door manually. If that's not possible due to a broken spring or other issue, we'll get a technician to you as fast as we can.
