Door Replacement After a Break-In Attempt in Phoenix

A West Phoenix garage door whose bottom section was damaged in a break-in attempt, replaced in three to four hours with a new door because the old one had been discontinued.

Completed November 2026 · Phoenix

What we found

A property management company called us about a garage door at one of their West Phoenix properties that had been damaged in a break-in attempt. When we arrived, we found the bottom section of the door had been damaged where someone had tried to pry it open. The before photo shows the old door in the opening.

What we did

Our first thought was to replace just the bottom section, which is usually the fix when one section of a door is damaged. That didn't work out, because the door was old enough that it had been discontinued, and a matching section couldn't be had. So we replaced the entire garage door with a new one, roughly three to four hours of work from start to finish.

How it turned out

The property has a new door in the opening instead of one with a damaged bottom section, and the property manager has one less door to field calls about. The before and after photos show the old door and the new one in the same opening. If a door on one of your properties, or on your own home, has been damaged in a break-in attempt, call (480) 520-9000 and we'll tell you whether a section can be replaced or the whole door needs to go.
