Insulated Door and Opener Replacement in Mesa

A Mesa garage door that had not opened or closed in years, replaced in one three-hour visit with a new insulated door and a DC belt-drive opener.

Completed October 2026 · Mesa

What we found

This Mesa homeowner called us about a garage door that hadn't opened or closed in a few years. When we went out, we found the opener's motor wasn't responding because its logic board had failed. A logic board is the opener's brain, and when it goes, the motor sits there no matter how many times you press the button. The door itself had dents and cracks in the panels, so even with a working opener it had seen better days.

What we did

The homeowner decided to go with a whole new insulated garage door and a new opener rather than patch up the old pair. We installed the new door and a DC belt-drive opener in the same visit, roughly three hours of work from start to finish. The before and after photos show the old dented door and the new insulated one in the same opening.

How it turned out

The door runs flawlessly on the new DC belt-drive opener. The insulated door also helps cut back on the radiant heat from the sun coming through into the garage, which matters in Mesa. If your door has been stuck for a while, call (480) 520-9000 and we'll look at whether a repair or a new door makes more sense.
