Garage Door Opener Replacement in Phoenix
A West Phoenix garage door whose 21-year-old opener could no longer lift it, replaced in the same visit with a quiet DC chain-drive opener.
Completed October 2026 · Phoenix
What we found
A property management company called us about one of their West Phoenix garage doors that wasn't opening properly. When we got there and looked it over, the Wayne Dalton Quantum opener couldn't lift the door anymore. At 21 years old, its components were worn out, and that model is no longer manufactured, so repairing it was off the table. The before photo shows the old unit still in place.
What we did
We replaced the opener in the same visit. The new unit is a quiet DC chain-drive opener, mounted where the old one had been, and the swap took about an hour from start to finish. Because the old model could not be repaired, replacing it on the spot also saved the property manager a second visit. A DC motor runs smoother than the old motor it replaced, and the after photo shows the new unit in the same spot on the rail.
How it turned out
The door is operating much more smoothly on the new DC motor, and the property manager has one less door to field calls about. If an opener on one of your properties, or on your own home, is struggling to lift the door, call (480) 520-9000. Depending on availability, we can often replace it in the same visit.
